Many years ago, there was a allergy and sinus OTC medicine called Tavist-D. The old stuff, not the later version.

The old version was very well at clearing your sinuses. Along with pesky things like independent thought or anything else cluttering up your head. Basically you had the brain power of tapioca. But you could breathe!

I just tried Claritin-D.

Wow. I've got marginally more brainpower than a goldfish right now and the attention span of a flashbulb. But hey, I can breathe!

Group finds Starbucks logo too hot to handle

"Seems that one person's smut is another person's morning latte.

A Christian group based in San Diego found grounds for outrage over the new retro-style logo for Starbucks Coffee.

The Resistance says the new image "has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute," Mark Dice, founder of the group, said in a news release. "Need I say more? It's extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks."

The group, which claims more than 3,000 members nationwide and has found a place on the fringe advancing various conspiracy theories, is calling for a national boycott of the coffee-selling giant."

I woke a lot so I dreamt a lot.

First I was a blonde girl in a boarding school in Europe. The headmistress was a royal twat so the neighbor's son and I ran away together and hid in a small town in the mountains.

Then I was in a video game again, this was like Kings Quest in a factory building. Weird.

Then I was being chased by softball-sized blue discs. The banks created them to chase down folks in debt. If they touched your skin, they burned and somehow the banks got yer money. Weird!

Then I was a Hispanic woman helping my sister and her ganged-up husband fight a rival gang to get back their son.

The following is something brandtotter and I did for my mother and father. It's extremely simple, and works very well.

Ingredients:

• Large room temperature or warmer strawberries.


• Rich vanilla balsamic vinegar - we used the boutique balsamic from the Queen Victoria Market. An orange balsamic, or an apple balsamic is an appropriate substitute, but vanilla gives a warm-spice tone with a rounded subtlety.


• Shaved slices of Jamón ibérico which has been out of refrigeration for at least twenty minutes. The best place to find this in Melbourne is the Queen Victoria Market. It is extremely expensive, however you need very little. The point of this dish is the oily-nutty flavour in the fat, so prosciutto and similar do not work so well to my taste. You should be able to find jamón ibérico de recebo there, true jamón ibérico de bellota is utterly out of even my 'hedonism' grade price range - you must pay through the nose to import it, and it would literally cost you in the thousands to acquire a leg.

We're rebooting FurryMUCK (after 203 days of uptime) to clear up some database issues that were causing some problems tonight. No data should be lost and the MUCK should come up a few minutes after the reboot finishes.

Just as an interesting statistic, the server hardware that the MUCK runs on has an uptime of 411 days. That uptime will continue as we're only restarting the MUCK application and not the server itself. :)
